    Starting tomorrow Colas will be exhibiting and presenting at the IPWEA Queensland Townsville state conference.

    Trevor Distin from Colas Australia will be presenting a paper that looks at the various techniques that can be employed to extend the life of the original surfacing in lower trafficked environments reducing the demand on non-renewable resources like aggregates and bitumen.

    Colas will be exhibiting and presenting at the IPWEA Queensland Townsville state conference from the 24th – 26th October.

    Trevor Distin from Colas Australia will look at various techniques that can be employed to extend the life of the original surfacing in lower trafficked environments reducing the demand on non-renewable resources like aggregates and bitumen.

    Councils across Queensland manage approximately 603,350 kilometres of road including around 492,675 kilometres of rural roads with 173,172 kilometres servicing less than 150 vehicles per day. TMR manages a network of approximately 33,372 kilometres.

    Deputy Director-General – Infrastructure Management and Delivery Division at TMR, Miles Vass oversees the maintenance and operation of the state-controlled road network and delivery of an integrated program of infrastructure projects. His keynote presentation will discuss the strategies undertaken by TMR to maintain and restore this critical transport network.
